Aluminum Sheet (6061-T6, 5052-H32, 3105-H14, 3003-H14)

6061 T6 Aluminum is a heat treatable 6000 series aluminum alloy with magnesium and silicon as its main alloying elements. It is one of the most versatile alloys and offers a wide range of mechanical properties. With medium to high strength, good toughness and a good surface finish, it maintains most of the good qualities of aluminum. Welded by all methods and can be furnace brazed. T6 has an ultimate tensile strength of at least 42,000 psi, yield strength of at least 35,000 psi and ultimate shear strength of 27,000 psi. In thickness it has an 8% elongation and 10% in thicker sections. You can buy aluminum products come in many different sizes and shapes including bars, angles, rounds, plates, channels and beams. 6061 T6 aluminum is commonly used for a wide range of products and applications including fishing reels, truck frames, structural components, machine parts, aircraft and aerospace components, marine fittings, camera lenses, transport, valves, couplings, etc. As one of the steel suppliers of Los Angeles, Tell Steel is ready to fill your order of Aluminum 6061 T6.

5052 Aluminum is an aluminum alloy containing 2.5% magnesium. It is one of the highest strength alloys of the non-heat treatable grades. It has good workability and weldability properties. Its machinability properties are fair. But it is particularly good at resistance to corrosion in salt water or marine atmosphere. Common uses for this alloy include marine parts, home appliances, food equipment, fuel tanks, storm shutters, refrigerators, aircraft tube, fences, etc.

3105 Aluminum is an aluminum alloy composed mostly of aluminum with 1.2% manganese to increase strength. This general purpose alloy is not hardenable by heat treatment. It has excellent welding properties, corrosion resistant and suitable for painting. Its machinability properties are fair but its weldability is excellent by all commercial techniques. Common uses for 3105 Aluminum include: mobile homes, sign making, residential siding, and sheet metal work.

3003 Aluminum is an alloy with good corrosion resistance and 1.2% manganese to give more tensile strength. It has excellent workability and weldability properties for aluminum alloys. It is an alloy that is not heat treatable and can only develop strengthening from cold working. Some of the common uses for the alloy include drawing spinning, cooking utensils, kitchen equipment, storage tanks, chemical equipment, pressure vessels, refrigerator panels, gas lines, etc.
